Two Men Found Dead in Fayette County

Authorities suspect foul play after two men were found dead in a house in rural Fayette County early Tuesday.

Someone discovered the bodies of two middle-aged men at the home on County Road 68 North near the Walker County line in Carbon Hill at 7:30 a.m., said 24th Judicial Circuit Chief Assistant District Attorney Andy Hamlin.

He described the case as a “death investigation,” but said law enforcement officers are working to identify a suspect.

“They’re processing the scene now, and trying to put the pieces together,” he said just before noon Tuesday.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the house on County Road 68, also known as Fish Hatchery Road, after someone called 911 Tuesday morning, he said. Local police departments ar
