Has love finally found Tim Tebow? According to Celebuzz, Tebow and Taylor Swift were on “a romantic dinner date” in Los Angeles Tuesday night — with their agents (cue violins).

The Grammy-winning country music star was first spotted chatting up football’s most eligible bachelor last month, according to a report from Celebuzz. And sources say that Tebow was more than happy to be talking with the young singer.

Now, more reports are coming out saying the two were spotted on a romantic dinner date Monday in Los Angeles.

“After dinner, he walked her out, and then he walked back to join two other people,” a source told Clevver News. “I think they may have been with their agents.”

Police said a St. Petersburg man attempted to rob a convenience store using a Sony Playstation remote control.

According to reports, Cameron Pittman, 20, hid the game controller in his pocket and pretended it was a gun as he tried to rob the Sun Food Store on 62nd Avenue S.

He was arrested by a police officer who walked into the store in the middle of the robbery, police said.

Pittman was suspected in an earlier robbery at a Subway restaurant. Police received a tip that Pittman might have been at the store, and so when the officer went inside, he caught Pittman in the middle of the act, police said.

Police said Pittman dropped the remote and gave up.

He is facing charges of strong-arm robbery and violation of probation.

An elderly Georgian woman was scavenging for copper to sell as scrap when she accidentally sliced through an underground cable and cut off internet services to all of neighbouring Armenia, it emerged on Wednesday.

The woman, 75, had been digging for the metal not far from the capital Tbilisi when her spade damaged the fibre-optic cable on 28 March.

As Georgia provides 90% of Armenia's internet, the woman's unwitting sabotage had catastrophic consequences. Web users in the nation of 3.2 million people were left twiddling their thumbs for up to five hours.

Dubbed "the spade-hacker" by local media, the woman – who has not been named – is being investigated on suspicion of damaging property. She faces up to three years in prison if charged and convicted.

A spokesman for Georgia's interior ministry said the woman was temporarily released "on account of her old age" but could face more questioning.

The cable is owned by the Georgian railway network. It is heavily protected, but landslides or heavy rain may have exposed it to scavengers.

Pulling up unused copper cables for scrap is a common means of making money in the former Soviet Union. Some entrepreneurs have even used tractors to wrench out hundreds of metres of cable from the former nuclear testing ground at Semipalatinsk in Kazakhstan.

Members of the 2009 National Championship team will join Coach Saban on A-Day

Tuscaloosa, Ala. – University of Alabama Director of Athletics Mal Moore announced Friday that the newest addition to the Walk of Champions plaza outside Bryant-Denny Stadium will be unveiled on April 16, 2011, prior to kickoff of the A-Day game. The statue of head coach Nick Saban will be the fifth to be displayed and will join UA national championship coaches Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, Paul “Bear” Bryant, and Gene Stallings. In addition, plaques will honor players and staff members from each of the national title teams.

“In keeping with our custom of honoring our national championship head football coaches, we are pleased and proud to unveil the statue of Coach Saban to add to our Walk of Champions at Bryant-Denny Stadium,” said Moore. “By leading our team to Alabama’s 13th football championship in 2009, Coach Saban earned his place among the legends we recognize. This is an outstanding testament to his work at Alabama, and a fitting tribute to the accomplishments of our entire football program under his leadership.”

The ceremony will include Coach Stallings and representatives of the Wade, Thomas and Bryant families. Like previous years, the permanent captains will be honored at Denny Chimes at 12:15 p.m. At 12:40 p.m., the team will participate in the Walk of Champions like a regular home game and the unveiling will take place at approximately 12:40 p.m. Members of this year’s current team and former players from the 2009 team will be on hand for the ceremony. A complete schedule of events for A-Day will be released early next week.
